Plot: On the eve of presenting a pair of prized elephants to the King of Thailand, a young martial arts expert and his father are shocked to discover that the beloved creatures were stolen by an international mafia syndicate, and now the determined fighter must travel to Australia to get his animals back in this adventure from the team behind the international action hit Ong Bak. To Kham (Tony Jaa) and his father, the elephants that they were about to present to the King of Thailand were not simply pets, but members of the family as well. When Kham learns that the criminals who stole his elephants have taken them back to their home base in Australia, the fearsome fighter vows to brave the strange new land and bring his animals back safely no matter what the cost. Upon arriving in Australia, Kham enlists the aid of Thai Police Sergeant Mark (Petchthai Wongkamlao) and pretty slave Pla (Bongkuch Kongmaili) in taking on down notorious crime boss Madame Rose (Jing Xing) and locating the animals he loves before it's too late. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Is Mostly Ong-bak
Added 1/11/2010

As I watched this movie it seemed apparent that much of it was scenes from the first Ong-bak . I don't mean that they did them the same...I'm pretty sure they were the actual footage from that movie (Especially the last big fight with 50 some guys and four semi trucks). Basically they had a different beginning, a couple new fight scenes, and a few new faces, but most of the last half of the film was Ong-bak verbatem. Actually when you come right down to it both stories are the same with just a few differences in how the journey starts. Pretty disappointing....If you have the first Ong-bak then you really don't need to spend your money on this one.

I've heard that Ong-bak 2 is finally different....I hope thats true because there's nothing like one super fighter taking on armies of bad guys and seldom get tired or even have tell tale signs that he's been hit repeatedly. I have to admit though that he's one hell of a fighter.

Not Ong Bak

I bought this movie because Ong Bak was an amazing movie. This movie is not Ong Bak. It still has some decent stunts and the fight scenes are good but the movie is not nearly as good overall(soundtrack, story, etc.). I would give it three stars but the part where he fights the really big guy is so cool it brings it up a whole star. O.K. movie if your a fan of the genre.

Tony Jaa will amaze you with his martial arts
Added 12/20/2009

If you are into martial arts, definitely get this one as Tony Jaa is unbelieveable in his discipline. It's the usual story of kidnapping and revenge typical of martial art films. For me, the only reason to get this movie is to witness Tony Jaa doing his thing.

Orgasmic Kick A** Battling

I'll just get this out of the way. The plot is really bad. There is a lot of filler. Way too much screen time is wasted on scenes, entire sequences, without Tony Jaa...and that is utter lameness.

But, when Tony throws down...it's friggin' mind-blowing. I was recently having dinner here in China, and the television station was showing an edited-down version of this movie. It only showed the fight scenes. Scene after scene of just the fights. Everyone in the restaurant was transfixed. My friends and I stopped eating altogether and had no choice but to cheer and scream in wonderment ("Oh ****!!!", "**** me!!!, etc.). Just incredible stuff. So much of it reminds me of vintage Jackie Chan. So much creativity in the fight scenes. Just fantastic.

My advice. Just go ahead and buy it. When you find yourself getting bored, fast-forward until the next fight scene. And then sit back and enjoy. It gives me the same adrenaline rush as watching a classic boxing match. Beautiful brutality.

If you like stuff like Kill Bill, Iron Monkey, older Jackie Chan stuff...you will love the hell out of this.

Easily 5 stars if you fast-forward through to the good stuff.

This was the first time I ordered a used dvd online. I was happy to see that it was just as advertised. The condition was like new. For the price I paid it was an excellent choice to order from amazon.
