Good movie

The movie was good my son who is 12 enjoyed it. It was nice to find it we could not find it anywere else. Considering how popular the Alex Rider series is it is a must have if you have a boy who loves the books. Although the story is a little different in the movie so you might sit through it with them pointing out the discrepancies.

Not a very good movie. My 2 kids (9 and 10) and I loved the book so we decided to get the DVD. What a mistake. The boy just could not watch it and left the room. The little girl forced herself to watch the entire thing and at the end said "That was terrible." My sentiments exactly.

It is a very entertaining video. All ages could watch. This lad is like a young James Bond, so to speak. And of course the good guy always wins.

The Alex Rider series is popular with many students in middle and junior high school. The movie was a great supplement, after having read the book, by giving students the opportunity to discuss differences between the two mediums. Students can often describe details in the book that were absent in the movie. This can be a valuable opportunity to engage young readers, who may not necessarily enjoy reading, in a fun book discussion followed up by a movie day reward for completing the book.
